The Dream is NOW

In a time when everything around us seem to be falling apart and we feel like we have so little control over what happens to our lives, this historical election has brought hope to the American people. It showed that our voices can be heard loud and clear, and then when we come together we can do some impossible things. It is remarkable that the inauguration of our first African-American President happens the day after the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. Realizing the dream that was put in front of us so many years ago.

I participated in the MLK365 March here in Sacramento CA with my husband and his affiliated companies, Melonhead Studio and MetroHub Network. I felt so honored to be a part of the excitement. I don't think I can ever express in words the magnitude of this day, but perhaps my photos will do a little more justice. Please go here  to see the full story in photos.

Baby Lucas

Welcome to the world Baby Lucas! My cousin Cindy is the closest person I have to a biological sister. We were born 6 days apart, grew up together and share the same last name. We don't live close to each other anymore but there's nothing thicker than blood. Her little baby can melt your heart, those cheeks and that smile! I only wish I wasn't holding a camera, otherwise I would have smothered him with hugs and kisses. But for his sake, the camera did him a favor by keeping his crazy aunt at arms length.

The All-American Family

It was one of those days when I felt like everything was going my way. Adorable kids, a beautiful home, gorgeous people, and my brand new camera. One of my favorites things about my job is getting a glimpse of another family. It felt so great to be a part of this family for a couple of hours.
